Countryside Adventure: El Cupey Ecological Experience

Come get to know Isabel de Torres Mountain from the inside, let's go experience the life at the countryside at El Cupey.

Off to the mountain we go, on board of a comfortable vehicle, get ready to enjoy the ride throughout a different day just fifteen minutes away at the countryside. Let's go to El Cupey, a rural area full of vegetation located right behind Isabel De Torres mountain. A sustainable community and very productive village as they grow most of their produce and dairies, with their own small family cheese factory and raising cattles as a way of living.

Itinerary

Once at El Cupey you can experience a total change in temperature as weather could go from the heat from town to a 10 or 15c in a wink of eye, also you can find beautiful and cozy little country style houses or impressive villages. First stop is a guided visit around “Queso Mora” Cheese factory for you to live the process of making three different kinds of cheese made out of an old family recipe, don't missed the chance to try it or buy it to take home directly from the table. By doing so, you are contributing to the growth of the community, being this their main source of living.

Be ready to enjoy the vegetation and fresh air of the village while walking through the mountain trails up to La Cueva del Gallo, a natural cave full of nature and history.

To freshen up after the active walking around the beautiful surrounds accompanied by your local expert tour guide who will be offering all the time information on the variety of flora, fauna, population and traditions of the village, be ready to enjoy a delicious typical meal washed off with an organic fresh brew coffee or fresh seasonal fruit under the shade at “El Patio de Guelito” before heading back to town.
